Gentuity, GE HealthCare Team Up on Intravascular Imaging

Gentuity, a company specializing in next-gen intravascular imaging devices, began an agreement with GE HealthCare to collaborate on commercial activities. The duo hopes to boost availability, adoption, and functionality of complementary imaging solutions for interventional cardiology.

The two companies will jointly pursue co-marketing initiatives and technical integration of their respective technologies. GE HealthCare said it also plans to expand access to Gentuity’s products through its own U.S. distribution network.

The include the high-frequency OCT imaging system, a mobile console powered by machine learning tech, and Vis-Rx prime micro-imaging catheter, touted as the world’s smallest at 1.8F.

Gentuity’s platform integrates artificial intelligence (AI) tools and user-centric design to reduce operator burden. The company hopes to improve procedural access and extend known clinical benefits and cost efficiencies of intravascular imaging to more patients.
